I’ve always been an observer.

Of people, mostly. How we behave, what shapes us, why we are so different — and why we sometimes seem to make life much more complicated than it needs to be.

For much of my life, I found it easier to observe and listen than to speak. Somewhere along the way, though, I began to take my own thoughts — and my own curiosity — more seriously.

I’m interested in what helps people grow, how the environments around us shape us, and how much of our lives we can shape ourselves.

Travel has always been part of that curiosity. Seeing other places and other ways of living has a habit of making the familiar look different.

This website is a place for some of the things I notice, the questions I keep returning to, and the ideas I want to explore a little further.

I don’t expect to find all the answers.

I just like looking closer.
